This coin commemorates the Marine Special Operations Command's (MARSOC) 3rd Marine Raider Support Battalion.

The mission of 3d Marine Raider Support Battalion is to provide general support  and combat support to Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command; and to train, equip, organize, and provide specially qualified combat support capabilities to Marine Special Operations Forces deploying  worldwide in the execution of special operations.
