This coin was 'Presented for Outstanding Duty Performance' by Major General Randolph W. House, Commanding General (CG), Fort Riley, Kansas.  MG House served as Fort Riley's CG from June 1994 through February 1996.

Note:  In the spring of 1995, the headquarters of the 1st Infantry Division was transferred from Fort Riley to Germany. The 1st Brigade of the Big Red One remained at the post, along with 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division and the 937th Engineer Group.
