General Mark A. Milley serves as the 20th Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) since October 1, 2019.

As Chairman, General Milley is the highest-ranking and senior-most military officer in the United States Armed Forces. He previously served as 39th Army Chief of Staff.
