Major General Scott W. Jansson served as the 5th Commander, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) from October 1, 2015 through October 5, 2017.

The AFNWC is a USAF Named Unit, assigned to the Air Force Materiel Command at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The AFNWC operates at the Center level of the AFMC.  The center's mission is to ensure safe, secure, and reliable nuclear weapon systems to support U.S. nuclear deterrence and the United States Air Force warfighter.
