This coin was presented for excellence by the Commander and Command Sergeant Major (CSM), Combined Special Operations Task Force X (CSOTF-10), Kabul, Afghanistan.

Combined Special Operations Task Force 10, part of ISAF Special Operations Forces (one of several Special Forces commands in Afghanistan) includes troops from Romania, Hungary and Slovakia — among others — and trains Provincial Response Companies, little-known, high-end police units belonging to the Afghan Ministry of Interior.

Task Force 10 soldiers have earned five Silver Stars, 20 Bronze Stars for valor and several Purple Hearts in four years in Afghanistan. Three task force soldiers have been killed in combat.
