General Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. served as the 15th Commander, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) from February 10, 2013 to August 26, 2014.  He was nominated to served as the Marine Corps 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC) and later as 19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS).
