This coin was presented to attendees during the 2013 Congressional Medal of Honor (CMOH) Society Convention in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

The Congressional Medal of Honor Society convened for their annual convention September 18-22, 2013. It was significant that Gettysburg was chosen as the site for the convention as the Society commemorated the 150th Anniversary of the awarding of the first Medal of Honor in March of 1863, the Battle of Gettysburg (from where 63 Medals were bestowed), Lincoln’s historic Gettysburg Address and the 55th anniversary of President Eisenhower’s chartering of the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.
