Lieutenant General (Lt Gen, USMC) George R. Christmas served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower and Reserve Affairs from July 15, 1994 through 1996.

Christmas was awarded the Navy Cross and Purple Heart for his valor in 1968 during the Vietnam War.  He served on active duty in the Marine Corps for 34 years, retiring in 1996.
