General Philip 'Phil' M. Breedlove served as the 35th Commander, United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE), from July 2012 through May 2013.

General Breedlove concurrently served as Commander, NATO Allied Air Command, Ramstein and Director, Joint Air Power Competence Center, Kalkar, Germany.  As Commander, U.S. Air Forces in Europe, General Breedlove had responsibility for Air Force activities in the U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) theater.
